Pick the country and the role
Tell us where the person will work, their proposed salary, and any specifics (start date, equity, special benefits). We come back with a fully-loaded cost breakdown including all statutory employer contributions.
We draft the contract
A locally compliant employment contract in your hire's language plus English. You review, request changes, and approve. Average turnaround: one business day.
Onboard in a few days
Employee receives the contract, signs digitally, completes KYC, and is registered with the appropriate tax authority. Health insurance and benefits are enrolled. Most LATAM countries are ready for payroll within 1 to 3 days once documentation is in.
Monthly run, you stay focused
You fund a single USD invoice. We pay the employee in local currency, file all taxes, and remit social contributions. You get clean reports for your books and a real human on Slack for any question.
The questions we hear most.
How fast can someone actually start?
For most LATAM countries, onboarding is 1 to 3 business days once your employee's documentation is in. Brazil and Argentina sometimes take a day longer due to specific registration steps. We tell you the realistic date upfront, not the marketing one.
Are equity grants compliant?
Yes. We structure equity grants to fit the local tax rules in each country. We work with your equity provider (Carta, Pulley, and similar) on grants that vest, exercise, or sell.
What happens with the 13th-month salary?
It is automatic. We accrue the 13th-month every month and pay it out per local rules, typically December, sometimes split between June and December. You see it on your monthly invoice as it accrues, not as a surprise lump sum.
Can we convert an existing contractor to an Employ Latam employee?
Yes, and we recommend it for anyone working full-time on a single client (the misclassification risk is real, especially in Mexico and Brazil). We handle the contract transition, back-pay any required statutory contributions, and align the employee's benefits going forward.
How do you handle terminations?
Carefully and by the book. LATAM severance rules are not trivial. We calculate the severance owed, prepare the termination paperwork, handle any required mediation, and remit the final payments. We tell you the cost before you decide.
What about union agreements?
Many LATAM countries have collective bargaining agreements that override statutory minimums for certain industries. If your role falls under one, we apply it. Tech roles usually do not, but we always check.
The talent is in Latin America. The hiring is on us.
Set up an account in three minutes. No credit card. No sales call. Hire one person, hire fifty. Pay only when they're on payroll.
